The Consultancy

  • Assess whether Medair’s Security Policy and other key security framework documentation is complete, comprehensive and reflects best practice.
  • Assess whether the Security Policy and other policies and procedures are adequately implemented in country programmes (to the extent possible in such an Audit).
  • Provide clear recommendations and rationale for improvements and refinements to Medair’s current system.

Outputs:

Final Report with a clear summary of current progress against best practise/industry standards and prioritized recommendations for improvement.

Scope:

Medair global – organisation wide

Methodologies & Tools:

The IBoT would like the Audit to use a credible methodology. The Audit in 2015 followed the EISF (now GISF) Audit Tool. Consultants are expected to use a similar established methodology but are free to propose and explain their preferred methodology.

Regardless of the exact methodology used, the Audit is expected to include:

  • Document Review. Desk-based review of Medair’s security Policies, Procedures and Guides with feedback and recommendations for improvements.
  • Interviews. Key Informant Interviews to be conducted with a range of Stakeholders including Security Advisors, International Programme Director and selected Heads of Country Programmes, Country Directors and other country programme staff.
  • Online Surveys. To assist in gathering wider feedback than possible with targeted interviews, feedback should be gathered from a wide variety of staff via surveys.
  • Drafting and final Report with a clear summary of current progress and prioritized recommendations for improvement.
